During initial flight tests, we have observed that when performing roll motion, controls felt flexible and there was a “delay” in response. This deficiency was due to low torsional strength for aluminium tubes, because of large length and small tube diameter. We have replaced those to carbon torque tubes which diameter and weight is about the same.
Opposite aluminium our carbon tube has great torsional strength properties as most of the layers has 45 degrees winding angles making it resistant to torque loads which makes it very suited for such application.
